Musicmetric is looking to hire a full-time Coordinator, Sales & Client Services, based in Los Angeles.  The ideal candidate portrays a self-starter mentality, is impeccably organized and displays strong business-minded and multi-tasking skills. The position is an exciting opportunity to work directly alongside the company’s EVP, North America and gain valuable skills in undertaking day-to-day operations.

Musicmetric is the leading music analytics platform; supplying data and insight to thousands of customers in the music, brand and entertainment industries – ranging from individual artists to major record labels and broadcasters. We track in depth trends for tens of millions of artists and releases from millions of sources on the web including social media, peer to peer, sales, radio airplay, streaming and text based references in reviews and news articles.

We supply this data to customers via our range of dashboards and API’s. If you want to have an active role in changing the way an industry operates, then this is the job for you.

  • Experience in sales/promotion and the ability and temperament to happily and indefatigably cold call and overcome obstacles
  • Experience in social media within the music industry
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office programs as well as the Google Docs environment.
  • Attention to detail is a must.
  • Be proactive and self-sufficient.
  • Ability to work well in an environment of changing priorities. Must approach situations and challenges with flexibility and creativity

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following tasks:

  • Handle incoming sales enquiries, answer any questions and CLOSE.
  • Proactively reach out to all U.S. and Canada based trial users and convince them to convert to paying customers.
  • Track sales leads, making sure that the CRM system is up to date and build sales reports and revenue forecasts
  • Identify new sales opportunities and ideal contact point and, at times, make initial outreach
  • Issue service orders and invoices for new/renewing clients and coordinate with Finance Director to ensure proper tracking of accounts.
  • Respond to and resolve client support issues including billing, account  maintenance, curation, and data anomalies
  • General executive assistant tasks including running day-to-day office management, calendar maintenance,  note-taking.

In addition to these core responsibilities, the Coordinator, Client Services will also participate in professional development opportunities that will include attending meetings and acting as project manager on various tasks.
